I Have Writers Block

Hello! Hello?

I'm not even sure if anyone is reading these anymore. :-(

I really don't know what to write about today.

Actually, I want to show you something.

These are all of my journals and prayer journals from the past 15 years. (I only started keeping journals in 1995.) Well, actually, I've added three more since this picture was taken last year, but still. Obviously, I write a lot. Writing for myself is very different from writing for other people. When I write for myself, I write about what interests me, but when I write these blogs, I try to write about things that interest other people and sometimes I can't share everything that is on my mind because it is too personal. I think right now, that is my problem. All of the things that I would like to talk about are things I shouldn't share or just don't want to.

So, I'm sort of at a road block right now. Sorry, this is all I have for you today.

I'll leave you with today's quote from the book "365 Days to Let Go: daily insights to change your life."

August 18 "One simple guideline for finding yourself in any crowd of stressed or confused thoughts is to remember, right in their midst, that you are none of them."

  1. I'm still reading.

I know exactly how you feel. There are plenty of things I could talk about in a blog, but I'm not ready to share that and there are things that might upset people that may or may not read the post (especially since it posts to my facebook. Didn't realize how many people were reading until they started chiming in there). I need to get into a regular habit of daily reflection, which is what the blog was initially supposed to be, but it's become just a "here's what I'm doing today" kind of thing instead.

  2. Hey Heather! I try to read when I can but I fear that pesky life is getting the better of me these days. But man, that sure is a lot of journals. I'm jealous! I'm still working on my first book journal. But I've been blog journaling for years but it's all spread across diff. platforms and saved states and I'm trying to consolidate all of them. But I hear ya on the writer's block. I always want to write or get ideas at the most ill opportune times!
